We are just back from a week's holiday in Yorkshire - we stayed in a lakeside lodge at Brandesburton, near Hornsea and Beverley. We had a varied week - one day we visited Hull, and I had a chance to view William Wilberforce's birthplace. Another day we explored Beverley with its beautiful, peaceful Minister. And then on Friday we went to Eden Camp, a former WWII POW camp near Malton which is now a museum of exhibits relating chiefly to civilian life during the War. I was interested in this poster, with its up-front acknowledgement of the existence of God. Perhaps even then it was exceptional to have God acknowledged so directly in a public communication.
